Full job description

Traditional Hardwood Flooring Ltd. is looking for experienced Flooring Finishers for full-time employment or contract work. We have been a well-established brand since 2002. We provide steady, contiguous work year-round.

We are not looking for beginners, helpers or apprentices. We need seasoned professionals who can walk onto a job site and deliver flawless results without supervision.

What We Offer

  • Pay Range: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour (Negotiable based on experience and employment type).
  • Work Type: Open to both regular W2/T4 Employment and Independent Contract (1099/Subcontractor) arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional-grade sanding, staining and finishing on various hardwood species.
  • Operate heavy sanding equipment (belt sanders, edgers, buffers) with precision and zero machine marks.
  • Apply stains, sealers, polyurethane, water-based finishes and oils to elite industry standards.
  • Match custom colors, repair damaged boards and handle complex transitions or borders.
  • Maintain clean job sites and ensure dust containment systems are used effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven history as a lead hardwood finisher (absolute minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on finishing experience).
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of wood species, sanding grits, stain applications and finishing chemicals.
  • Traits: Strong attention to detail, reliability, punctuality and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Must have: Valid Ontario driver's license.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
