Soneil Spark is building the future of EV charging and distributed energy infrastructure across North America. We are an early-stage, fast-moving cleantech company scaling commercially in a massive, high-growth sector. We operate as a tight-knit team where decisions happen quickly and employees maintain genuine ownership of their domains. This is a high-autonomy environment where the work is technically interesting, the pace is rapid, and what you build has a direct environmental impact.

Role & Team Structure:

We are hiring a Marketing Director to construct and run our entire marketing function from the ground up. This is a senior, high-impact "player-coach" position. You will directly manage one internal marketer and oversee an external agency focused on specialized visual or technical projects.This environment is built for a master executioner who loves the craft of marketing. If you are an experienced leader who still thrives on launching your own campaigns, writing fresh copy, and configuring your own tools, this is your sandbox. If you are looking for a traditional corporate hierarchy focused purely on delegation and review, this position will not be a match.

What You’ll Own:

  • Strategy & Positioning: Establish our comprehensive B2B and B2C go-to-market narratives, run competitive market analysis, and optimize quarterly budget allocations.
  • Performance Marketing: Personally manage and scale media buying profiles across paid search, paid social, and display networks to aggressively optimize acquisition costs.
  • Demand Generation: Build the pipeline engine from scratch, defining clear MQL-to-SQL qualification boundaries in direct alignment with our Sales division.
  • Marketing Operations: Maintain absolute data hygiene across our customer relationship management (CRM) software, analytics platforms, and automation tools.
  • Content & Brand: Drive our multi-channel content roadmap, utilizing modern AI tools to scale production while preserving a clear executive brand voice.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Guide channel marketing strategies for our network of installers and equipment dealers while providing regular status insights to executive leadership.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of dedicated B2B marketing experience, ideally scaling a startup, cleantech, or hardware-focused company.
  • Direct technical experience configuring marketing clouds, workflow webhooks, data attribution models, and pipeline dashboards.
  • An AI-native approach, actively using generative tools, automated workflows, or agents daily to scale your creative and analytical output.
  • A diverse tactical toolkit, comfortably shifting from high-level pricing strategy to campaign execution within the same afternoon.
  • Exceptional professional communication skills, coupled with a portfolio showing campaigns or systems you personally deployed within the last 12 months.
