Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development/Sales Professional to drive growth for Villa Roofing and Summit Cladding Systems. This role will focus primarily on leading sales and marketing initiatives, building strategic relationships and ensuring alignment with company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry and a proven track record of achieving sales targets and overall organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales and advertising efforts of Villa Roofing and Summit Cladding Systems, targeting general contractors, developers, consultants, property owners and other key stakeholders.
  • In coordination with the Chief Estimator, General Manager, President and respective leadership, execute annual and quarterly sales targets aligned with company objectives, including primary responsibility for estimate and sales pipeline follow-up.
  • Launch and maintain the CRM feature in Mondays to streamline customer relationship management.
  • Ensure that no opportunities are missed from the collective standpoint of Villa and Summit, and work to market the full building envelope package.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive penetration into underdeveloped sectors.
  • In coordination with the Chief Estimator, General Manager and President, oversee bid strategy, estimating collaboration, and participate in negotiations.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns to support business development efforts, including digital, print, trade shows and sponsorships.
  • Manage the company’s online presence, to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Support the estimation teams with client communication and value engineering strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and partners to foster long-term business opportunities.
  • Provide quarterly reports to the leadership team on sales activity, promotional outcomes and market trends.
  • Analyze sales KPI’s pipeline forecasts and overall performance to inform strategic decisions.

Authority and Control Points

  • No authority over margins and pricing; collaborate with the Chief Estimator, General Manager and President to maintain pricing integrity and prevent unauthorized discounts or margin erosion.
  • May contribute to proposal strategy and client engagement but shall not modify cost sheets, markups, or margin targets prepared by Estimating.
  • No commitment authority on contracts or scope.
  • May review final proposal summaries for presentations purposes but shall not have access to detailed internal cost breakdowns or margin analysis.
  • Sales KPI’s are tied to revenue and lead generation, not margin. Compensation and any bonuses are tied to qualified revenue, awarded jobs, and lead pipelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of sales experience in the construction industry, preferably in roofing, cladding or building envelope systems.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and institutional project cycles.
  • Familiarity with estimating practices and technical construction documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferably has knowledge of contract formats (CCDC, lump sum etc) and tendering processes.
  • Preferably has an existing network of general contractor, owner and developer contracts in the local market.

This role is integral to our company's growth trajectory, offering an engaging environment where strategic thinking and relationship-building are highly valued. We invite motivated professionals who are eager to make an impact through innovative business development initiatives.
