Full job description

Overview
KORQ Events Inc., producer of the West Coast Women's Show and West Coast Family Show, is contracting two sales representatives to sell exhibit space, sponsorships, and related marketing opportunities by phone for our November 2026 shows at TRADEX in Abbotsford, BC. The role focuses on selling booth space to new and returning exhibitors — small businesses, manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers across relevant consumer categories. This is a remote, work-from-home contract position for a BC-based closer.

Duties

  • Sell exhibit space, sponsorships, and additional marketing opportunities to new and returning exhibitors through outbound sales calls.
  • Maintain a high volume of outbound calls (target 40–60 per day) to current and prospective clients.
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales targets.
  • Work assigned accounts and lead lists — past exhibitors, inbound inquiries, and verified prospect databases — and develop new business.
  • Attend relevant consumer and trade shows to gather new leads and competitive intelligence, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Maintain accurate, current records of all sales activity in the company CRM (HubSpot).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with exhibitors and sponsors, and provide responsive customer service.
  • Manage deals end to end, including booth placement, payment scheduling, and value-add offers within set guidelines.
  • Ensure contracts are completed and payments received on schedule; follow up on outstanding payments as needed.
  • Coordinate booth and placement details against the live floor plan.
  • Attend the shows on-site and support exhibitor coordination during move-in and show days.
  • Submit a brief weekly pipeline update.

Experience

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in phone/inside sales, events, sponsorship, or media sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline without daily supervision.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Based in British Columbia; able to work Pacific business hours and attend the shows in Abbotsford.
  • Experience in consumer or trade shows, including home shows, is an asset.

What We Provide

  • A loaded CRM — thousands of past exhibitors, warm inbound inquiries, and 8,000+ verified, on-target prospects. You focus on closing, not building lists.
  • Fixed, published pricing with no discounting, so you sell on value rather than price negotiation.
  • Authority to close your own deals — placement, payment timing, and value-adds are yours to decide within set guidelines.
  • An established show with two decades of history and a returning exhibitor base.

Compensation & Engagement

  • Independent contractor engagement: you invoice for commission and provide your own office and equipment.
  • Commission on all sales plus a recoverable monthly draw, so you earn from the start of the season.
  • Realistic earnings of CA$50,000–$90,000+, uncapped — the more of the floor you fill, the more you earn.
  • Remote, work-from-home, with the flexibility to set your own schedule (full-time hours).
  • Selling season runs January through the November show; strong performers are re-engaged year over year.
  • Pre-approved expenses for show visits and lead-gathering are reimbursed per the agreement.

Pay: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Work from home

Application question(s):

  • Are you based in British Columbia and able to work Pacific-time hours?
  • This is an independent contractor role paid by commission, with a monthly draw against commission — no base salary or benefits. Are you comfortable with that?
  • Are you comfortable running your own day from a home office without daily supervision?
  • In a sentence or two: what's the biggest deal you've closed by phone, and how?
