Full job description

North American Transport Driving Academy is a well respected private career college specializing in teaching and developing safe and knowledgeable commercial truck drivers.

We are a diciplined and detailed group of adminstrators and instructors and we are seeking a true detail-oriented Sage 50 Bookkeeper who shares the same values we do, to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our organization.

The ideal candidate will have expert level experience with Sage 50, and possess a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.

This role involves handling various accounting tasks to ensure the integrity of financial data, supporting budgeting and financial analysis, and assisting with payroll processing. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our business while working in a collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Manage and maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Sage 50
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
  • Perform account reconciliations, using the tools within Sage 50
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
  • Support budgeting activities by providing relevant financial data and insights
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform regular data entry and update financial records promptly
  • Assist in year-end closing activities and audit preparations

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, and must possess expert knowledge with respect to Sage 50
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
  • Experience in payroll management and related reporting is required
  • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and budgeting tasks accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Perfect attention to detail is essential for success in this role

Work Hours

This role can be completed either part time (20 hours per week) to full time (40 hours) with some work that can be completed in the evenings (on site).

Pay: $22.67-$32.25 per hour
