SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Casual Camp Worker 1 (Janitorial/Housekeeping/Kitchen).
About Your New Role:
R eporting to the Supervisor, Camp Operations , the Camp W orker 1 , will be responsible for working with the kitchen, housekeeping and janitorial staff to ensure company hygiene standards are met as well as health standards as required by SK HACCP ( H azard Analysis and Critical Control Points) requirements . Day to day this role may include cleaning and sanitizing facilities, assisting with meal preparation and kitchen operations, and maintaining the cleanliness of the camp . This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a fly in / fly out environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:

Ability to follow a ssigned workload and task schedules .
-
Complete duties within allotted time.
-
Operate dishwasher.
-
Operate vacuum.
-
Operate laundry equipment and d o laundry as required .
-
Sanitize work and customer area .
-
Empty garbage from dining room and bedrooms.
-
Replenish Front of House.
-
Assist with taking down of breakfast line and s erve meals on the hotline.
-
Follow cleaning and sanitation protocol for room weekly and completes housekeeping.
-
Follow cleaning and sanitation protocol for washrooms/toilets and hallways.
-
Follow cleaning and s anitation protocol for the mill and mine dry change rooms.
-
Follow cleaning and sanitation protocol for Administration building.
-
Any other duties as assigned by the department.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
-
Must demonstrate good communication skills.
-
Reliable team player who is w illing to jump in and help where needed .
-
A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.
-
Able to work well independently with minimal supervision.
-
Physically demanding position. Duties include repetitive bending, pulling, carrying, high lifting and heavy pushing (up to 50lbs).
Your Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have:
-
Entry level and the ability to step into Camp Worker 2 position when required.
-
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
-
Previous experience working in remote, fly in / fly out camp sites is an asset but is not required.
About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 11-hour days with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
