The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) is seeking a full-time, contract (1-year) Research Coordinator. Working under the supervision of the section lead/senior scientist for the Health Outcomes and Performance Evaluation (HOPE) section, the Research Coordinator will work collaboratively on various projects. This role will include working within the ICES-University of Toronto satellite site. They will contribute significantly to the monitoring of the project work plan and achievement of key deliverables, contribute significantly to the development of dataset creation and analysis plans, and will assume responsibility for all aspects of the data analysis for a research project. Other duties and responsibilities include: developing SAS programs to extract and merge data from existing ICES databases according to dataset creation plans and following ICES standards and guidelines; preparing tables, figures and reports, and carrying out statistical analyses according to specifications of project analysis plans; completing program and project documentation according to ICES standards and guidelines; interpreting results and having direct input into any manuscripts and other deliverables; participating in ICES meetings/rounds as applicable, making contributions to ICES as requested, such as presentations, participation in working groups and/or contributions towards the development of practice guidelines/standards in their area of their organization, as required. You are a team player who displays leadership and collaboration in terms of coordinating the activities of projects and participating staff and trainees within various settings. Responsibilities

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in one of the health or social sciences (e.g., economics, health economics, health services research, epidemiology or biostatistics) and two (2) years related research experience with quantitative research. Additionally, previous experience with coordination of complex projects and conducting comprehensive literature searches is required as well as experience with working with administrative data, namely ICES data holdings, and advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), EndNote and Internet Search engines. Experience with undertaking economic evaluations is an asset. The candidate will have superior oral and written communication skills as well as creative problem-solving and organizational abilities. The candidate will also have project management experience, able to liaise with diverse stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to manage and adapt to diverse work environments and conditions. Candidates also require the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Salary Range: $37.51 - $50.60
