Position Summary

Baymag is seeking a Warehouse and Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement, inventory management, and warehouse operations at our Exshaw facility. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist, this role is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating material receipts and storage activities, and supporting efficient plant operations through effective materials management.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented supply chain professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain safe work practices in all purchasing, inventory, and warehouse activities.
• Coordinate the procurement of materials, services, and supplies to support operational requirements.
• Manage purchasing transactions, including requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, goods receipts, and inventory movements within SAP MM.
• Monitor inventory levels, review MRP requirements, and support effective materials planning and inventory control.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, obtain and evaluate quotations, and assist with sourcing, pricing, and delivery coordination.
• Oversee receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and warehouse documentation processes.
• Resolve supplier, invoice, delivery, and material discrepancies to ensure continuity of operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Provide SAP MM support and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure efficient material flow.
• Provide cross-functional support and coverage within the Procurement and Warehouse team as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum four years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP MM and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience managing purchasing transactions, inventory controls, and warehouse processes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience supporting inventory optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of MRP processes and materials planning.
• Experience working in mining, manufacturing, industrial processing, or related industries.
