Resource Strategy & Management Advisor – Supply Chain Business Intelligence Solutions Analyst

What you'll do

In this role, you will work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment where priorities evolve, and high-quality insights are
critical. Your day will include maintaining, and continuously improving, existing Supply Chain reports, while working closely
with business partners across varied business groups and levels of management to gather requirements for new reporting
and respond to ad-hoc information requests from executive leadership and government stakeholders.

You will regularly work with very large and complex data sets, applying a deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
business processes and SAP system data to translate raw information into accurate, clear, actionable insights that support
operational, financial, and compliance-related decision-making. You will also partner with the Procurement Policy team to
develop data-driven compliance insights that support policy interpretation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with a team of reporting professionals, contributing as a senior technical resource while fostering a
culture of service excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Through this work, you will play a key role in supporting BC Hydro’s Supply Chain reporting needs during a period of
unprecedented growth, ensuring leaders have timely, reliable, and decision-ready information to support the organization’s
evolving priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and apply efficient, repeatable data processes to extract, model, transform, and analyze large, complex datasets
from SAP and related systems, reducing manual effort and ensuring accurate, reliable, and auditable reporting.

  • Manage and validate complex supply chain data from SAP Business Warehouse and other source systems, applying data
management and statistical best practices to ensure data integrity, quality, and enterprise reliability.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated reports and dashboards using SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, and related
tools, exercising professional judgment to replace manual reporting with scalable, user-friendly solutions that deliver
decision-ready insights for leaders at all levels.

  • Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for SAP BW report enhancements and Datasphere data model
development, designing, documenting, and applying test scripts to validate large, complex data models and ensure data
quality, governance compliance, and readiness for enterprise use.

  • Develop a strong understanding of organizational objectives, priorities, and end-to-end business and system processes to
define meaningful, decision-supporting metrics aligned with operational and strategic outcomes.

  • Independently partner with Supply Chain stakeholders to uncover, define, document, and prioritize new and evolving
reporting requirements, translating business needs into clear, user-focused reporting solutions and formal requirements
artifacts.

  • Apply advanced analytical, statistical, and business process judgment to respond to time-sensitive ad hoc analysis and
reporting requests, including those from executive and senior leadership, by validating outputs and clearly communicating
findings.

  • Support reporting initiatives end-to-end from intake through deployment and adoption by leading intake, prioritization, and
scoping of reporting requests; developing clear technical and end-user documentation; delivering training; supporting
change management; and driving continuous improvement.

  • Contribute as a senior technical professional by exercising sound judgment, collaborating across functions, and supporting
reporting governance, standards, and adoption.

  • Ensure the sustainability and governance of reporting solutions by maintaining trusted reporting assets and
documentation, supporting enhancements and knowledge transfer, and ensuring alignment with organizational standards,
policies, and audit requirements.

What you bring

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering,
or a related field; graduate degree and/or relevant technical certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMI, DAMA, CDMP, CBAP,
CSCP) considered an asset.

  • Experience: 7+years of progressive experience in analytics, performance measurement, or data-enabled supply chain
environments, including the applied use Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process knowledge to deliver enterprise-level analytical and
reporting outcomes and a demonstrated ability to design, standardize, and improve reporting processes that enhance
consistency, reliability, and decision support.

  • Advanced Analytics & Platforms: Hands-on expertise with enterprise BI tools—particularly Power BI—including the ability
to interpret, audit, and troubleshoot complex DAX, M-code, and data-model logic. Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud
(SAC) is a strong asset; ability to learn and validate SAC calculation logic is required.

  • Enterprise Data & Governance Leadership: Strong experience applying data governance practices, including data quality
management, reporting standards, documentation, and stewardship and formal testing practices within ERP and BI
environments supporting data integrity, auditability, and defensible reporting.

  • User Acceptance Testing & Data Validation: Demonstrated experience planning and executing User Acceptance Testing
(UAT) for SAP Business Warehouse report enhancements and Datasphere data model development, including designing,
documenting, and applying test scripts to validate large, complex data models and ensure accuracy, integrity, and business
readiness.

  • Data Modeling & Technical Collaboration: Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling and experience partnering
with IT and data engineering teams to design, validate, and sustain scalable, governed supply-chain data models.
Proficiency in SQL is required; familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python or R) for data validation or automation is an
asset.

  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Proven ability to identify and implement opportunities to improve analytics
capability, efficiency, and data maturity through best practices, automation, and emerging analytical techniques.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership: Ability to independently build strong partnerships with business
stakeholders, understand evolving information needs, and co-create analytics solutions that support enterprise-wide
decision-making and measurable outcomes.

  • Communication & Influence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly frame complex
analytical concepts and insights into accessible, compelling narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
