SAP B1 EDI Business Analyst (1 Yr. Contract)

TransCold delivers to Major Grocery, Drug, Gas & Convenience and Independent Retailers through Direct to Store Delivery (DSD) and Warehouse Fulfillment, and provides services for mobile vendors, corporate events, and third-party logistics (3PL) customers. With 14 locations and 240+ employees, TransCold has the logistical reach to supply all regions across Canada and Western USA with a customer-first attitude.

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled SAP B1 EDI Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, integrated systems environment and is passionate about transforming data into actionable insights. You will play a key role in leading the EDI transition from legacy system into our SAP B1 and Korber WMS ecosystem and support in creating a roadmap to build a Business Intelligence database for departmental dashboards.

Key duties and responsibilities include

  • Lead the SAP EDI integration and migration from the legacy system into the current SAP B1 and WMS environment
  • Experienced in the full menu of EDI transactions, including defining, mapping, documenting, and testing
  • Advanced capabilities in EDI troubleshooting, error resolution, and stabilizing end-to-end data flow
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Pervasive Dashboards, Crystal Reports, SQL, and SAP B1 Calculated Views.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems, including e3PL, SAP B1, and Descartes.
  • Support and troubleshoot data flows between SAP B1, e3PL, Descartes, and SOCS.
  • Leverage iPaaS tools like Saltbox Integration Platform and DTW for data transformation and automation.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to resolve integration issues and optimize workflows for EDI and BI
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
  • Document data processes, integration mappings, and report logic.
  • Contribute to process reengineering initiatives and change management efforts.
  • Work closely with business users, developers, and vendors to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data tools and reports.

Technical Environment

  • Electronic Data Interchange Mapping
  • ERP & WMS: SAP B1 (with Boyum Add-Ons), Korber e3PL
  • Integration Tools: Saltbox, DTW, Ramp Interchange (EDI)
  • Reporting Tools: Crystal Reports, SQL, Calculated Views
  • Logistics Tools: Descartes Route Optimization, Proof-of-Delivery
  • Legacy Systems: SOCS, Legacy EDI Providers

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in a data analyst or business analyst role, preferably in a logistics or ERP-integrated environment.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP B1 modules, including Boyum Add-Ons, DTW, and Print & Delivery.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms such as Saltbox or similar iPaaS tools.
  • Experience with Crystal Reports and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience with EDI workflows and logistics data flows.
  • Proficiency in Power BI; experience publishing to dashboards and row-level security.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ability to articulate differences with SAP B1.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with route optimization and delivery automation tools.
  • Experience managing user access and authorization controls.
