The Smokin' Barrel Bar & Grill is looking for an experienced, outgoing, and dependable Part-Time Server/Bartender to join our team!

We're a busy restaurant that takes pride in great food, friendly service, and creating an atmosphere where customers feel welcome and want to return.

We're searching for someone who genuinely enjoys the hospitality industry, thrives when things get busy, and knows how to deliver excellent service without missing a beat.

Please note: This is not an entry-level serving position.

We require someone with substantial restaurant experience who is confident working independently, managing multiple responsibilities, and providing outstanding service during busy periods.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver friendly, attentive, and efficient service to every guest.
  • Confidently manage multiple tables while maintaining excellent service standards.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Independently handle dining room service, bartending, takeout orders, and incoming phone calls when required.
  • Accurately enter orders and process payments using our POS system.
  • Stay organized and maintain a positive attitude during busy rushes.
  • Recommend menu items, beverages, and specials to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and bar areas.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure accurate orders and timely service.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and general restaurant duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

Experience is essential for this position.

Our ideal candidate brings:

  • A minimum of 5 years of restaurant serving experience (required).
  • At least 2 years of bartending experience (required).
  • Proven experience working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant.
  • The ability to confidently operate independently without constant supervision.
  • Strong multitasking skills and excellent time management.
  • Experience using restaurant POS systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Confidence handling cash, debit, and credit transactions.
  • A professional, friendly personality and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient under pressure.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to contribute to a team environment.
