Freson Bros. is an Alberta, Canada-based company with 16 locations and over 1200 Team Members. We champion the tradition of the craft, celebrating our Butchers, Bakers, and Cooks. We are dedicated to supporting our communities by Handling with Care, from the products we produce daily to our committed customers.

We are hiring for a Full-Time Bakery Department Manager with an annual compensation range of $60,000-80,000 in our Alberta, Canada locations!

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Measure, mix, scale, and mould various types of artisanal bread.
  • Bake and score traditional bread and bakery products.
  • Hand-Mould sourdough bread, baguettes, boule, etc.
  • Operate bakery equipment.
  • Interact with customers to explain bakery products.
  • Assist in training and developing baker apprentices.
  • Merchandise products within refrigeration shelving and freezers.
  • Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts
  • Schedule Bakery Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met
  • Champion the Freson Bros. brand and culture.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in cold fermentation baking.
  • 2 years of baking experience and pass the Freson Bros. Baking Assessment.
  • Ability to relocate to rural Alberta, Canada.
  • A passion for the Craft of Baking.
  • Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 kgs.
