Full job description

Position Summary

MWS Solutions is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Driver to join our Tool Crib team. The primary responsibility of this position is the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of tools, equipment, and construction materials to and from customer job sites. When driving duties are complete, the successful candidate will assist with Tool Crib operations to support the overall team.

Primary Responsibilities – Driving

  • Safely operate a company pickup truck and trailer.
  • Deliver and pick up tools, equipment, and construction materials from job sites.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials safely.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
  • Connect and disconnect trailers as required.
  • Complete all required delivery documentation and inspection reports.
  • Maintain professional communication with supervisors, office staff, customers, and site personnel.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Comply with all Ministry of Transportation regulations, the Highway Traffic Act, MWS vehicle policies, and CVOR requirements.
  • Work flexible hours and overtime when required to meet business and customer needs.

Secondary Responsibilities – Tool Crib (When Not Driving)

  • Inspect, clean, and organize returned tools and equipment.
  • Stage tools and equipment for upcoming deliveries.
  • Put away returned inventory and maintain an organized Tool Crib.
  • Assist with general Tool Crib operations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of commercial or related driving experience preferred.
  • Clean driver's abstract and ability to meet all CVOR requirements.
  • Previous or current forklift certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair is an asset.
  • Familiarity with local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
  • Ability to use GPS and navigation tools.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, loading, and unloading equipment.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
