Fusion Alarms is hiring Fibre Internet Installation Technicians in London, Ontario for TELUS residential installation work.
This role is primarily focused on fibre internet installations, home internet setup, Wi-Fi equipment, and basic connectivity troubleshooting. Smart Home Security installation and service may also be included, but the main focus is fibre and internet work.
We are looking for reliable, professional, customer-focused technicians who can complete clean installations, communicate clearly with customers, and represent TELUS and Fusion Alarms professionally in the field.
What You’ll Do
- Install residential fibre internet services
- Run and connect fibre from the exterior point to the inside of the home
- Terminate fibre ends when required
- Install and connect TELUS internet equipment
- Set up TELUS Network Access Hub / gateway equipment
- Install fibre wall plates, jacks, patch cords, and related materials
- Test and confirm internet service is working properly
- Set up basic Wi-Fi equipment and boosters
- Troubleshoot internet, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues
- Explain the installation and equipment to customers in simple terms
- Complete clean, professional, and organized work
- Take clear job photos and complete required documentation
- Identify customer needs and recommend TELUS products when appropriate
- Assist with Smart Home Security installs, service, and upgrades when required
Ideal Candidate
- Experience with fibre internet, telecom, low-voltage, cable, alarm, CCTV, or smart home installations
- Comfortable working inside residential homes
- Able to use hand tools and basic installation equipment
- Comfortable with ladders, drilling, cable routing, wall plates, and clean wiring
- Basic understanding of modems, routers, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and internet troubleshooting
- Experience with fibre tools such as cleaver, stripper, light meter, cleaners, and connectors is an asset
- Smart Home Security or alarm system experience is an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Sales mindset and ability to recommend products professionally
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own reliable vehicle, preferably a van, SUV, or truck (Light color)
- Own basic tools
- Clean and professional appearance
- Comfortable working in customer homes
- Able to pass required background checks
- Strong English communication skills
- Previous TELUS, Bell, Rogers, telecom, fibre, alarm, or smart home experience is an asset
