About Us:

Frontier Construction Products Ltd is an Alberta-based Corrugated Steel Pipe manufacturer and retailer. We specialize in culverts, geotextiles, fabrication, and erosion control with experience in the drainage industry. Job Overview:

Reporting directly to the Production Superintendent, as a Short Haul/Local Delivery Truck Driver at our main office (located in Thorsby, Alberta) you would be responsible for delivering orders and aiding in the day-to-day operations of the company. You would be required to work individually, but also as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities would entail a variety of duties including safely operating a truck and trailer combination throughout central and northern Alberta to urban and rural locations. Each day would begin with daily safety checks & reviewing outbound delivery details and paperwork. When you are not driving you will be performing routine and preventative maintenance on vehicles, trailers, and equipment. When required, and as time allows, there are shop and yard duties such as pipe grinding, building dunnage, assisting with minor manufacturing jobs, and other general yard duties.

Key Responsibilities:

· Safely operate truck and trailer (2-ton truck and 30’ gooseneck trailer) combination throughout central and northern Alberta

· Deliver orders to customer locations & construction jobs in rural and urban areas

· Daily safety checks and routine maintenance

· Checking paperwork and accuracy to what is being loaded or unloaded

· Perform general maintenance duties on trucks, trailers, equipment and machinery

· Assist with other housekeeping and production related duties as required

· Maintain safety standards and follow all company safety procedures

Qualifications:

· Valid class 5 driver's license as minimum and 5+ years experience

· 1+ years trailer hauling experience

· Experience with flat deck and proper load securement

· Shipping/receiving experience an asset

· Good communication and mathematical skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including but not limited to lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling

· Work in a fast paced environment outdoors in all types of weather

· Working independently while maintaining accuracy in job related duties

· Experience with maintenance, machinery, and power tools preferred

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

· Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to adhere to all safety protocols

Experience:

  • Delivery driver: 1 year (required)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 5 Licence (required)
