  • Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, calibration, and precision adjustments on equipment, including actuators, encoders, sensors, and motion control systems, while documenting all activities in the Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and update PLC and HMI programs to optimize equipment performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop, review, and improve preventive maintenance programs that enhance equipment reliability and asset performance.
  • Assist with the selection, installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of equipment and automation projects.
  • Provide timely on-floor technical support to production teams, including off-shift and weekend coverage as required.
  • Train operators on machine operation, safety practices, and basic troubleshooting procedures.

  • Experience working within BRC, SQF, HACCP, and GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, motor and motion control systems, and industrial automation.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and robotic programming platforms such as Fanuc, ABB, or KUKA is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation while complying with applicable regulations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
