The opportunity

Grocery stores are more than places to shop, they are part of the rhythm of a community. At the Tatchun Centre, the Clerk helps support a store that residents, Elders, families, and travellers rely on every day.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys practical work, likes helping people, and takes pride in contributing to a business that matters in Carmacks.

What does your success look like?

• Customers feel welcomed and supported through friendly, respectful service.
• The store is clean, organized, well stocked, and easy to shop.
• Deliveries are received, unpacked, and stocked efficiently so products are available when needed.
• Promotional and seasonal displays are set up and contribute to a strong store experience.
• Daily routines, including cleaning, safety checks, and opening and closing tasks, are completed reliably and to standard.

What you bring to the role

• Experience in grocery or retail is an asset but not required - we will provide training for those willing to learn.
• A positive and helpful approach.
• Reliability to show up consistently and on time for shifts.
• The initiative to notice what needs to be done and take action.
• Good communication skills.

Requirements: Ability to work on your feet and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and stocking. Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
