Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression that reflects our commitment to hospitality.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using POS system, ensuring accurate and efficient seating arrangements.
  • Direct guests to their tables promptly while providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant.
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservation details.
  • Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and well-presented.
  • Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations and a positive dining atmosphere.

Skills

  • Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service roles with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations, inquiries, and feedback professionally.
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across customer-focused settings.
