Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. This is not just a typical BBQ joint, but a true Southern Comfort experience where exceptional food meets warm hospitality.

The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming, soulful atmosphere, delivering exceptional customer service, and efficiently managing bar operations. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, handling cash transactions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. A background in food industry service, familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS, and strong time management skills are essential for success in this position. The Bartender will play a key role in enhancing guest experiences and maintaining the high, hospitable standards of our establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engage with customers to create a friendly, inviting, and authentic Southern atmosphere.
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering.
  • Manage cash handling accurately, including processing payments and giving change.
  • Ensure all food safety and food handling protocols are followed diligently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, glassware, and utensils according to health standards.
  • Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
  • Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate orders and improve service efficiency.
  • Uphold hospitality standards by providing attentive service, including serving food when required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant or food service environments is preferred, especially within high-energy hospitality sectors.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally, warmly, and courteously.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
  • Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding related legal requirements is a plus.
