Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Schedule:

This is a full time work. No partial availability - you must be legally able to work 40 hours per week. You must be able to work full time for the next foreseeable one year.

Duties:
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas
- Lift and move goods
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries
- Support kitchen staff in various tasks as required

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred

- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 23 kgs regularly
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
- Strong English listening and speaking skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Class 5 Driver License
- Experience in food service or meal preparation
- Familiarity with food industry standards and practices
- Basic kitchen skills or interest in culinary arts
