Red Door is seeking talented and dedicated part-time and full-time Line Cooks AND Prep Cooks to be part of our busy brunch kitchen crew. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have good vibes, we'd love to meet you!

LINE COOKS:

This position is best suited for a motivated, experienced cook who is interested in leaving the nighttime restaurant scene and is interested in a more balanced lifestyle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and cook line menu items to Red Door's high standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet our standards
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Work interchangeably between prep work and line work.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience as a line cook or similar role (show us what you’ve got!)
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen gear
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with great communication skills

PREP COOKS:

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Keeping our pantry stocked with frozen meals and grab and go food items
  • Production of soups, and salads
  • Deli meat and cheese portioning
  • Production of large scale prep tasks for our line cook team (ie. gravlax, sausage patties, shakshuka, pork belly, fruit compotes etc.)
  • Support daily production for service
  • Maintain a clean, organized station
  • Follow food safety and kitchen procedures
  • Work alongside cooks, and bakers

We require:

  • Experience in a similar professional setting, kitchen and/or Culinary Diploma
  • Some weekend availability
  • Reliability, positive attitude, ability to take direction and feedback, ability to work within a team and independently
  • Good communication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic
