Now Hiring: Lifeguard / Cashier x3
Department: Public Pool
Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa
$19.57 - $26.09 per hour

About the Role

Ensure the enjoyment and safety of all patrons to the public pool. Accurately accounts for all
patron’s safety and entrance fees. Handle all methods of payment and maintain accurate float
and cash drops. Supplies information about the area and the resort.



What You’ll Do

  • Open/close the building, takes keys and cash to the resort on evening shift, retrieve
keys/float in the morning.
  • Order adequate change from linen driver, anticipating daily needs.
  • Order adequate supplies (towels, shower gel, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Checks First Aid Box and Oxygen canisters daily and report any replenishments needed
to Supervisor.
  • Take and record pool H2O tests every two hours.
  • Maintain the cleanliness/professional image of the office, pool area, and
washrooms/change rooms.
  • Complete additional job-related duties as assigned.


What We’re Looking For

  • Current National Lifeguard certificate required.
  • Bronze Cross Certificate or higher.
  • Basic Rescuer and current CPR certificate.
  • Occupational First Aid would be an asset.
  • 1-year experience with cash handling would be an asset.
  • Previous experience using a POS System (specifically Light Speed) would be an asset.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with people with disabilities or new swimmers.
  • Ability to count, maintain accurate float and balance daily cash out.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Able and willing to properly clean/sanitize pools, washrooms, change rooms etc.
  • Availability for all shifts i.e. early morning, evenings, weekends, etc.
  • Flexible to a changing schedule.
