Overview
Tubbies is the newest and most exciting brand in breakfast - and we're coming to Barrie! We are seeking experienced and skilled line cooks to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes while adhering to food safety standards. If you have a passion for cooking and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Prior experience with breakfast menus is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping and marinating as needed.
  • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and cooking instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
  • Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is required.
  • Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is essential.
  • Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food service operations is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
