GROTTO SPA RESTAURANT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Food & Beverage, the Grotto Spa Restaurant Manager leads the day-to-day food and beverage operations within the Grotto Spa, including Treetop Restaurant, the Relaxation Lounge, Private Lounge, and seasonal Spa Patio and Garden Oasis.

This hands-on leadership role oversees a range of elevated dining experiences, from Treetop's Chef-curated 9-course tasting menu to lounge, group, event, and seasonal patio service.

The Grotto Spa Restaurant Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while overseeing Team Member performance and development, operational standards, financial performance, and the overall success of the outlets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead daily restaurant, lounge, private event, and seasonal patio operations.
  • Lead, coach, schedule, and develop front-of-house supervisors and Team Members.
  • Maintain exceptional standards for guest service, cleanliness, safety, presentation, and overall dining experience.
  • Oversee sales, labour costs, budgets, inventory, and profitability to support established financial targets.
  • Partner with the Director, Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, Treetop Chef, and culinary team to ensure consistent and efficient service.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Food & Beverage to develop wine pairings that complement the Chef-curated menu and overall beverage program.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and Team Member development.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, responsible liquor service, workplace safety, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, revenue, and the guest experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of progressive restaurant management experience in a high-end or fine dining environment.
  • Experience in a full-service restaurant operation.
  • WSET Level 1 certification or higher.
  • Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations and elevated service standards.
  • Proven leadership and team-development skills.
  • Experience managing labour, budgets, inventory, costs, and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead effectively while fostering a calm, collaborative, and professional environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, responsible alcohol service, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Spa or resort experience is considered an asset.
  • Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Salary: $60,000-$65,000 plus gratuities
