The Stanley’s Bar and Grill Restaurant Server is part of the team responsible for excellent guest and food service. Main duties include greeting guests and contributing to a positive experience by connecting with them, offering excellent product knowledge, beverage options & pairings, as well as providing local area knowledge, maintaining proper food handling procedures, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, following opening and closing procedures and providing a seamless experience.

The Stanley’s Bar and Grill Restaurant Server is part of the team responsible for excellent guest and food service. Main duties include greeting guests and contributing to a positive experience by connecting with them, offering excellent product knowledge, beverage options & pairings, as well as providing local area knowledge, maintaining proper food handling procedures, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, following opening and closing procedures and providing a seamless experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for full table service (order taking, food running and bussing tables);
- Prepare and deliver all food and beverages in a timely manner, follow wine service steps as needed;
- Ensure quality assurance checks are completed in a timely manner;
- Anticipate Guests’ needs and search for ways to increase Guest satisfaction;
- Efficiently operate restaurant POS and complete cash-out at end of shift;
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment;
- Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements;
- Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook;
- Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies;
- Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and beverage safety;
- Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest’s health and safety;
- Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor; and,
- Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person’s safety is not impaired, by alcohol, drugs or other causes.
- One (1) year of serving experience;
- POS experience or previous knowledge of Profitek System, an asset;
- Must have up to date Serving It Right certificate;
- Strong communication skills, multilingual is considered an asset;
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task;
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by;
- Ability to work with team members professionally and with respect; and,
- Working with the team and supporting one another to achieve company goals.
- Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool;
- Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business; and,
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions, including heat, rain, and winter environments.
