Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Cook/Kitchen Hand and bring your passion for food and hospitality to life! In this energetic role, you will assist in preparing delicious meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and supporting the overall smooth operation of our food service establishment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a lively, fast-paced setting that values teamwork and excellence.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
  • Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during meal service
  • Handle food safety procedures diligently, ensuring proper storage, handling, and labeling of ingredients
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment and tools safely and efficiently
  • Support cash handling and POS (Point of Sale) operations when needed for food orders or customer transactions
  • Contribute to a welcoming environment by supporting guest services and maintaining a positive attitude during busy periods

Skills

  • Previous food service experience or kitchen experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
  • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interactions
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience with restaurant operations, serving, cashiering, or Micros POS systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation
  • Hospitality background or hotel experience can be advantageous
  • Barista experience or familiarity with beverage preparation is beneficial but not required
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively with team members
