Banquet Cook (Cook 1, Cook 2 & Cook 3 Positions Available)

Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre | Abbotsford, BC
Wage: TBD, based on experience and position level

The Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre is the largest conference centre outside Metro Vancouver, featuring 24,000 square feet of meeting, event, and tradeshow space, along with 116 guest rooms, including Executive Business Class Rooms and suites.

Positions Available

We are currently accepting applications for:

  • Cook 1
  • Cook 2
  • Cook 3
  • Cook 2 (Carving/Butchering Experience Preferred)

Positions will be assigned based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skill level.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist in banquet food preparation and execution for events of various sizes.
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper portion control
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with inventory control, receiving, and stock rotation
  • Work collaboratively with culinary and banquet teams to ensure successful event execution
  • Support other kitchen operations as required

Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience in a hotel, banquet, restaurant, or catering environment is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Safe Certification is an asset
  • For the Cook 2 (Carving/Butchering) position, experience with meat fabrication, butchering, and carving is strongly preferred.
