Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness standards, and ensure a hygienic environment for both staff and guests. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry while contributing to a welcoming and well-organized kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning.
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining a tidy workspace by cleaning surfaces, floors, and storage areas regularly.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance at all times.
  • Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to promote an environmentally friendly kitchen environment.
  • Assist with restocking supplies and ensuring all necessary items are available for smooth kitchen operations.
  • Support hospitality staff during busy service times by maintaining cleanliness and order behind the scenes.

Experience

  • Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are most important.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and food safety standards is advantageous.
  • Experience with food handling, food preparation, or cooking can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
  • Previous hotel or food service experience will be considered a plus.
  • No formal qualifications are required; training will be provided to ensure you excel in your role.
