Job Overview
At Old Vines Restaurant, gracious hospitality is at the heart of everything we do. Our restaurant is home to a dynamic menu of wine-led, contemporary cuisine inspired by the exceptional farms, producers, and seasonal ingredients of beautiful British Columbia. Paired with warm, attentive service and award-winning wines from Quails' Gate Estate Winery, we strive to create memorable experiences for every guest who joins us.

We are seeking a dynamic, guest-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our leadership team in delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect the care, professionalism, and attention to detail that define Old Vines Restaurant.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the restaurant management team in leading daily operations and service execution
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members to uphold exceptional hospitality standards
  • Foster a positive, professional, and guest-centric team culture
  • Ensure smooth floor operations while maintaining attention to detail and service excellence
  • Support administrative and operational functions, including inventory controls, beverage systems, scheduling, and reporting
  • Actively contribute ideas and solutions that enhance the guest and team experience
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and hands-on support during service

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of restaurant leadership experience, preferably in fine dining
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a team
  • Strong operational knowledge including beverage inventory systems and controls
  • WSET Level 2 or ISG Level 2 certification (minimum requirement)
  • Serving It Right and Food Safe Level 1 certifications
  • Passion for wine, food, and hospitality excellence
