Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Floor Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the restaurant floor. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Prior restaurant management or supervisory experience in the food industry is essential to succeed in this position.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers and bartenders, to ensure smooth restaurant operations
  • Oversee food preparation and service to maintain high-quality standards and efficiency
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling and kitchen safety protocols
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new team members to build a competent staff
  • Monitor customer service levels, address guest concerns promptly, and ensure an exceptional dining experience
  • Lead by example in hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
  • Oversee restaurant cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health regulations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu execution
  • Manage inventory levels for food supplies and restaurant equipment

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising or leadership experience within the food service or hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
  • Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues diplomatically
  • Ability to manage team members effectively through team management and interviewing skills
  • Previous restaurant management or hospitality experience preferred; hotel or barista experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of food industry best practices including serving, food handling, and kitchen operations
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and oversee daily restaurant functions
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor suitable for supervising a diverse team
