Full job description

Line Cook – Brackendale Art Gallery / Zephyr Café
Location: Squamish, BC | Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | Pay: $20–$23/hr + tips

The Brackendale Art Gallery (BAG) is one of Squamish’s most unique spaces—a historic building and community hub founded in 1970 that now functions as an art gallery, restaurant, café, concert venue, and wedding location; with a gelato truck on site in our lovely garden as the cherry on top. The BAG is eclectic, full of character, and has been beautifully renovated—including a bright, well-equipped commercial kitchen.

We’re looking for a Line Cook to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced kitchen where we make everything from scratch—focaccia, falafel, flatbreads, cakes, sauces, gelato—and serve a mix of daily service, private events, and weddings. You’ll have the opportunity to build your skills, work with quality ingredients, and be part of a creative, collaborative crew.

The Role

  • Prep, cook, and plate dishes during service
  • Work all stations as needed (grill, sauté, cold line, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station
  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef during busy services
  • Contribute to daily prep and occasional event catering
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times

What You Bring

  • 1+ year experience in a professional kitchen
  • Food Safe certification
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
  • Passion for good food and great ingredients
  • Team player mentality—able to take direction and pitch in where needed

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay: $20–$24/hr + competitive tips
  • Health & dental benefits for full-time team members
  • Flexible scheduling and a supportive work environment
  • Opportunity to learn and grow in a scratch kitchen
  • A young, motivated team and a vibrant, creative workplace
  • Staff Meals & Discounted Meals + Events.
