Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will set the tone for a memorable dining experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality talents, ensure smooth seating arrangements, and provide exceptional customer service in a lively restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel valued and comfortable
  • Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
  • Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and taking reservations when needed
  • Assist servers and kitchen staff by communicating guest needs and special requests promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to ensure a welcoming environment
  • Support guest inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or amenities with clear and courteous communication

Skills

  • Proven experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles within a restaurant setting
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs confidently
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
  • Familiarity with food service operations, including POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred to understand flow and guest expectations
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry standards is a plus but not required
