Job Overview

Join our team as a Prep Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and commitment to food safety will contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning to meet recipe specifications.
  • Assist with food assembly and plating to support the kitchen team during service hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness.
  • Support cooking processes by assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped for busy periods.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and excellent food quality.

Qualifications

  • Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
  • Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
