Floor Supervisor

Slabtown Armoury | Aurora, ON

At Slabtown Armoury, we believe outstanding hospitality begins with exceptional leadership. We're looking for an experienced Floor Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment and leads with confidence, professionalism and a genuine passion for guest service.

As a Floor Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring every service runs smoothly—from opening the restaurant to the final guest departure. You'll coach and support our front-of-house team, maintain high service standards and create memorable dining experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Floor Supervisor, you'll oversee the daily front-of-house operations while acting as a leader, coach and problem solver for the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating the front-of-house team throughout each service
  • Supervising servers, bartenders, hosts, support staff and food runners to ensure seamless operations
  • Setting the tone for exceptional hospitality by delivering warm, attentive and professional guest experiences
  • Conducting pre-shift meetings to communicate daily features, reservations, VIP guests and service expectations
  • Managing table flow, reservation, and waitlists in collaboration with the host team
  • Supporting the team during busy service periods by assisting wherever needed
  • Handling guest concerns professionally and resolving issues quickly to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Monitoring food and beverage quality before it reaches guests
  • Working closely with the culinary team to ensure efficient communication and service execution
  • Assisting with staff training and performance development
  • Monitoring labour, service efficiency and staffing levels throughout each shift
  • Completing opening, closing and shift management responsibilities
  • Maintaining restaurant cleanliness, organization and presentation standards
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation and liquor service regulations
  • Managing cash handling procedures, POS transactions and end-of-day reconciliation
  • Leading by example while fostering a positive, respectful and team-oriented culture

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a full-service restaurant is required
  • Hospitality management experience is considered a strong asset
  • Excellent knowledge of food, beverage, wine, beer and service standards
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation and Smart Serve regulations
  • Experience coaching, training and developing front-of-house staff
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Outstanding guest service and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with labour management and daily restaurant operations
  • Comfortable using Silverware POS, Clover and Open Table

Technical Skills

Candidates should be comfortable using:

  • Silverware POS
  • OpenTable reservation platform
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive)
  • General computer and administrative software

Job Details

Compensation: $21.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:
