Full job description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food items according to the restaurant's menu and recipes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist in inventory management and food prep as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff, including the sous chef and head chef, to ensure all orders are prepared correctly.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and kitchen cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to take direction and follow recipes accurately.
  • Must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for cooking and a positive attitude.
