Full job description

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, setting up your station, and cooking menu items according to standard recipes and quality specifications. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining top-tier sanitation standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Station Setup: Efficiently set up and stock your assigned kitchen station with all necessary supplies and ingredients prior to service.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, mixing, and portioning items according to the prep list.
  • Cooking & Plating: Cook menu items via grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking to exact recipe standards. Ensure all dishes are plated beautifully and coordinate with the team so food leaves the kitchen simultaneously.
  • Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain a sparkling, sanitary, and safe workspace. Properly label, date, and rotate old stock. Follow all kitchen health guidelines and complete end-of-shift cleaning checklists.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor product usage and notify the chef or kitchen manager of expected shortages. Minimize waste to keep food costs within budget.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience cooking in a fast-paced restaurant.
  • Skills: Solid knife skills and a fundamental understanding of various cooking methods.
  • Multitasking: Ability to juggle multiple items cooking at different times while maintaining focus under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for 8 to 10-hour shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work comfortably in a hot environment.
  • Certification: Valid Safe Food Handlers certification is an asset.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
