Job Overview
We are seeking a fun, dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our back of house kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality food items both efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent food handling skills, experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and someone who is team-oriented with good customer service skillsets. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Cook menu items with attention to presentation, quality, and consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation
  • Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly and inventory levels are maintained
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
  • Prepping and following recipes for Baked goods

Experience

  • Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper kitchen hygiene is essential (FoodSafe Certified preferred- will need to be certified within 1 month of hiring, if not already.)
  • Experience with meal preparation and food handling techniques in the food industry is advantageous
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, kitchen equipment, and food industry standards will be beneficial
  • Previous roles involving food service or kitchen experience demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • A basic understanding or experience with baking

This is a part time/casual position that is ideal for individuals looking for a little extra cash on the side and who thrives in high paced team environments and are committed to delivering exceptional food experiences. Weekend availability required. Flexible hours.
