Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, hospitality, and customer relations within a fast-paced dining setting. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. A strong focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork is essential for success in this position.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Assist in food preparation and kitchen support as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
  • Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables promptly during busy periods
  • Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns professionally

Skills

  • Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for billing and cash handling tasks
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
  • Previous restaurant or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
  • Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest services and satisfaction
  • Food preparation knowledge and kitchen experience are a plus
