Full job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Breakfast Cook to join our team at Exit 153 Restaurant. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast items while ensuring efficient kitchen operations and an excellent guest experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook breakfast menu items to order (eggs, bacon, breakfast meats, etc.)
  • Ensure all food is prepared quickly, consistently, and to quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace
  • Follow all food safety and health regulations
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with restocking as needed
  • Set up and stock stations before service and clean down after shifts
  • Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service
  • Assist with additional kitchen duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role
  • Knowledge of breakfast food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is an asset
  • Food safety certification is considered an asset
  • Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

  • Efficiency: Able to manage time and prioritize tasks during busy service
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures food quality, presentation, and accuracy

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat and kitchen equipment

Pay: $15.90-$16.90 per hour
