Camp Cook / Food Truck Cook

Location: Cold Lake, Alberta (Rotation Schedule)

Greystone Group of Companies is seeking an experienced, energetic, and dependable Camp Cook to join our mobile kitchen team in Cold Lake, Alberta.

Working from our fully equipped food truck kitchen, you will prepare fresh, hearty meals that fuel our crews working on major infrastructure and storm restoration projects.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a unique opportunity to travel while working a rotational schedule.

Applicants from New Brunswick are encouraged to apply. Travel to and from Alberta will be provided according to the established rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for field crews.
  • Plan and organize daily meal preparation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Receive and properly store deliveries.
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely and efficiently.
  • Work closely with operations staff to accommodate changing crew sizes and schedules.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the mobile kitchen and dining areas.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook, camp cook, food truck cook, restaurant cook, or institutional cook.
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when required.
  • Valid driver's licence is considered an asset.
