Full job description

Morris East is now looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager for its Vernon St location. The position requires a mixture of serving and managing shifts.

You will be responsible for the successful operation of the Front of House business operations, according to the policies, procedures and goals of the company.

We are a dynamic restaurant business which encompasses dining room operations, significant take out and catering business and a slice retail store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and analyze Front of House financial controls and determine business priorities.
  • Manage labour, alcohol purchasing, packaging costs and revenue growth sales targets.
  • Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times, following our policies and procedures which lead to best possible customer service outcomes.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and supervise a successful and enthusiastic team of front of house associates, engaging in performance management.
  • Employee scheduling - effective management of labour costs while ensuring appropriate staffing service levels for both the restaurant and retail store
  • Perform payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Address guest concerns, requests, or issues
  • Perform inventory and ordering of alcohol, packaging and Front of House supplies
  • Organize and oversee catering orders and private parties
  • Oversee and ensure the retail store is fully stocked
  • Oversee our Front of House maintenance and deep clean schedule
  • Assist in the development and preparation of menus as required
  • Maintain the Morris East Service Standards and enhance the quality of service and offerings
  • Serve as an individual contributor and role model by performing technical or functional job duties including serving tables, clearing tables, taking orders

  • A passion for food and beverage, with attention to detail
  • An understanding of restaurants costs and their relation to the business
