Full job description

Tacos La Cantina in Marketplace & Nesters are looking to add spicy flavor to its team by hiring energetic and fun-loving Full-Time Counter Servers!

What you'll do:

  • Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders (in-person, phone, and online), and answer questions about the menu, ingredients, and allergens.
  • Enter orders into the POS system, process payments, provide change, and manage dine-in and takeout orders efficiently.
  • Assemble and package food items, ensure quality and freshness, and follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Keep service and dining areas clean and organized, wipe surfaces, dispose of waste properly, and bus tables as needed.
  • Clean, wash, and sanitize dishes, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
  • Restock supplies like napkins and condiments, monitor inventory levels, and report shortages to management.
  • Work well with the team, assist during busy times, upsell menu items, and follow all company policies and health guidelines.

What we need from you:

  • Must have your own housing secured. We do not offer staff housing for this role.
  • Must be fluent in English for clear and confident conversation.
  • Have a valid work permit.
  • Serving It Right certification (preferrable).
  • Strong customer service skills, passion for making guests feel special, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Adapt easily to changing work demands while staying cool, confident, and upbeat.
