Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and cooking processes, and maintaining a high level of hospitality. Previous experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, hotels, or bars is highly desirable. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including interviewing and onboarding new team members
  • Manage food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Coordinate food handling, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Utilize POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and control food costs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and hospitality
  • Manage restaurant management tasks including scheduling, staff supervision, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure proper food storage and adherence to safety protocols in line with industry best practices

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
  • Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
  • Experience with interviewing, hiring, and training restaurant personnel
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the industry
  • Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities combined with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
