Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, attentive Restaurant Server to provide excellent hospitality and guest services in a welcoming dining environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, communicates clearly, and can stay organized in a fast-paced restaurant. Food service or restaurant experience is helpful, but a strong customer-service mindset and willingness to learn are also valued.

Duties

  • Welcome guests, explain menu items, answer questions, and help accommodate dietary requests.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
  • Serve orders promptly and check in with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Recommend menu items and use thoughtful upselling to help guests make informed choices.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to communicate orders, special requests, and timing.
  • Follow food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices when serving and handling food.
  • Prepare dining areas before service and keep tables, service stations, and shared spaces clean and organized.
  • Process guest payments, operate the register, and handle cash accurately.
  • Support the team with basic food preparation or other service tasks as needed.

Skills

  • Strong customer service, communication, and hospitality skills.
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy service periods.
  • Accuracy with orders, basic math, and payment transactions.
  • Cashiering and cash-handling skills.
  • Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices, or willingness to learn.
  • Serving, food service, guest services, or broader food industry experience is an advantage.
  • Restaurant or kitchen experience and familiarity with food preparation are helpful.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with guests and coworkers while maintaining a professional, welcoming manner.

Pay: $17.60-$17.70 per hour
