Full job description

Job Summary
Chillout Cove is seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, waiting on tables, providing exceptional customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, cash handling, and POS systems, along with excellent time management skills. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with Micros POS are preferred. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food handling.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience
  • Use POS systems for order entry and cashiering functions
  • Manage cash handling procedures, including processing payments and giving change
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar area, glassware, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards
  • Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
  • Assist in serving food items when required, supporting overall restaurant operations
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours through effective time management

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of POS systems and reservation systems
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly
  • Ability to serve alcohol responsibly following legal requirements and company policies
  • Hospitality-oriented attitude with a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
