Full job description

Sunny Morning Breakfast & Lunch's East Oakville location is looking for an experienced breakfast server to join our team. We are looking for an energetic server with a strong work ethic, who is extremely reliable and comes to work each day with a positive attitude. We are hiring our first server in over two years and our second since pre-COVID. A team member who fits in with our long-standing group and is looking for a long-term opportunity is extremely important to us.

  • Looking for two part-time servers 2-3 shifts per week (incl weekends) or one server looking for a regular schedule of 4 (often 5) shifts per week (incl weekends)

Responsibilities:

  • Serve food and beverages to guests
  • Explain menu items to guests
  • Clean and prepare the restaurant
  • Greet and make all guests feel welcome at the restaurant
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
  • Assist with fulfillment of online and takeout orders as required
  • Bussing and pre-bussing tables as required (Host/Busser(s) scheduled on weekends, based on business needs)
  • Perform other restaurant duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience as a server in a busy environment
  • Priority given to experienced breakfast servers
  • Ability to build rapport with guests
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Smart Serve certification
  • Outgoing, high energy and positive attitude
  • Must be available to work all weekends and some holidays
  • Must be able to start work as early as 6:30 a.m
  • Punctual, reliable and mature working attitude

Pay: $17.60 per hour
