About Us: James Bay Inn Hotel

Established in 1911, the historic James Bay Inn Hotel & Suites is one of Victoria’s most cherished landmarks. We are currently looking for a team member that is dependable and has a minimum 2 years experience as Evening Front Line Cook to join our dedicated culinary team. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solid experience cooking with flat tops, grills, stoves, ovens and deep fryers.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Prepare food items by cutting, chopping and mixing
  • Follow recipes
  • Operate equipment properly and safely
  • Follow Recipes and the James Bay Inn Standards
  • Handle, store and rotate products properly
  • Receive and put away orders
  • Reliable and trustworthy to open the kitchen in the mornings.
  • Work well in a team and independently
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all JBI, city, provincial and federal safety protocols
  • Maintain the quality of each dish while ensuring a speedy output
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chef
