Overview

Zenshi handcrafed sushi is looking for a friendly, reliable Sushi Bar Team Member to join our in-store sushi counter!

Duties

• Prepare fresh sushi rolls, nigiri, and related items daily
• Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, rolling sushi, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar area in compliance with food safety regulations
• Serve customers promptly with friendly, attentive service, answering questions about menu items and ingredients
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and safety at all times
• Assist in restocking supplies and ingredients to keep the sushi bar fully equipped during busy hours
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

Skills

• Previous sushi experience preferred ( not required - will train the right candidate )
• Food handler's certification ( or willingness to obtain one )
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling practices to prevent contamination
• Excellent serving skills with a friendly, engaging attitude toward guests
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Passion for the food industry and a desire to learn more about sushi craftsmanship and presentation
