Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef in charge of the meal program to prepare, package, and deliver service of nutritious meals. This role involves Independence and accountability for execution of meals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals in a timely manner. The candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, culinary management, and self sufficiency within the food industry. This position offers an opportunity to work Independently while maintaining a focus on hospitality and excellence in food service.

Duties

  • Responsible for all aspects of meal preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards
  • Ensuring food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
  • Plan menus that meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate dietary restrictions or special needs
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals to meet service schedules while maintaining high standards of presentation
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for kitchen operations, resolving any issues promptly and efficiently
  • Maintain documentation related to food safety inspections, recipe formulation and operational procedures

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience in a culinary or restaurant setting with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
  • Extensive food service experience with knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams within the food industry or hospitality sector
  • Familiarity with restaurant management principles including inventory control and menu planning
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards for meal presentation and service
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a professional kitchen environment
  • Experience serving diverse populations with dietary considerations is preferred

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
