Part-Time Cook — Roxy’s Restaurant & Lounge

Roxy’s Restaurant & Lounge in Oak Bluff is looking for a reliable and capable Part-Time Cook to join our kitchen team.

We’re a busy, family-run restaurant, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up when they’re scheduled, and can become a dependable part of our team. The right person will be comfortable multitasking, working independently, staying organized during busy services, and solving problems as they come up.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items consistently and efficiently
  • Work independently on a kitchen station once trained
  • Manage multiple orders and priorities during busy periods
  • Complete food prep and restock ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen throughout the shift, including equipment, work surfaces and floors
  • Complete routine cleaning and side duties during quieter periods
  • Complete opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned
  • Assist with dishes and general kitchen cleanup when needed
  • Communicate and work well with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Help with general kitchen duties as needed

  • Willing to take initiative and find productive tasks during quieter periods
  • Evening and weekend availability
  • Some availability for occasional daytime shifts
  • Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person

Compensation & Perks

  • Starting at $16.50/hour, with a higher starting wage considered based on experience
