Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Cook will ensure timely and efficient meal preparation, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Must live in Winnipeg Area, have transportation and be experienced.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
  • Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and presented attractively
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for ingredients or supplies
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
  • Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food safety, and sanitation standards

Experience

  • Previous experience as an experienced Cook
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation, food industry practices, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
