CHEF

Job Description

We’re seeking a Chef with the skill and range to execute polished, casual-upscale fare typical of leading full-service dining and entertainment restaurants — think expertly cooked steaks and proteins, elevated comfort food, globally-inspired shareables, and consistently high-quality plating that appeals to a broad range of guests, from date nights to late-night social crowds. This is a chance to help shape and grow a kitchen program at a buzzing, high-energy venue that’s just opened its doors and is quickly becoming a go-to spot in Calgary.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all dayparts.
  • Collaborate on menu development to broaden Rehab Lounge’s appeal to new and diverse guests.
  • Manage kitchen prep, inventory, and food safety standards.
  • Lead and support kitchen assistants and line cooks during service.
  • Maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in a full-service, high-volume, casual-upscale kitchen with a scratch-cooking, made-to-order menu.
  • Strong grasp of steak/protein cookery, sauces, and consistent plate presentation.
  • Ability to develop and refine menu items that appeal to a diverse, broad-based guest audience.
  • Comfort working across lunch, dinner, and late-night service in a fast-paced lounge environment.
  • Strong leadership, food cost awareness, and kitchen management skills.
  • Food Safety certification (Alberta ProServe/Food Handler equivalent).
  • Red Seal Certification (Cook) is a strong asset.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Food Handler certification (Alberta) – Required.
  • Red Seal Certification - Required
  • ProServe certification (Alberta) - Nice-to-have.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Benefits:
